Expertise

Lauren received her professional doctorate from Trinity College Dublin and Bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She served as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in the Peruvian altiplano. As a lecturer, adjunct professor, clinical supervisor, practitioner, researcher and advocate she focuses her work in increasing access to care and healing. Lauren provides consultation in English and Spanish.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamics and Emotion Focused Therapy are the empirically supported interventions I draw upon. I focus my work in supporting immigrants, expats, migrants, aid field workers, civil servants, medical professionals and their families. I have specialized in treating posttraumatic stress and vicarious traumatization.
